Booking Newborn Baby Photography
As I only do two newborn sessions a week it is best to contact me before you have your baby. After you have had your 20 week scan is ideal. Once your booking is confirmed I will put your due date in my diary. When your little bundle arrives and you are home from hospital please email me then I will contact you with my available dates. Please note that newborn sessions are best held within 5-10 days of birth therefore it’s important you contact me as soon as you are home from hospital.
A Few Days before your session
I will email you a PDF booklet which contains details of how to find the studio and what to expect.
What happens at the Shoot?
It will be at least 26 degrees in the studio due to this I come dressed for a few warm hours and I suggest that you do too.
While you wait I have a comfy sofa, refreshments of water/coffee/tea and biscuits. Many parents take the opportunity to catch up with messages or read a book or even catch up on a some sleep. Sessions last between 3 and 4 hours and so I recommend bringing something to read and snacks.
I am a fully trained and experienced newborn photographer who has been trained to pose and photograph your baby by two of the top newborn photographers in the UK. I may require your assistance at times to ensure the safety of your newborn.
Occasionally sessions will need to be rescheduled, I will try everything I can to settle your baby and capture great images for you but sometimes they aren’t feeling well, are on a growth spurt or just won’t play ball.
One of the hazards of being a newborn photographer is that at most sessions I get pooped and peed on, please don’t be embarrassed or upset I am rather a pro at getting the stains out now.
What do I need to bring?
The studio is stocked with everything needed for your newborn session all you need to bring is the milk for the baby and if you can bring a sterilised dummy that’s great. Your baby will be experiencing many new things and so maybe more unsettled or hungrier than usual so please be prepared for this.
